The Academy of Micromovie and Transmedia & British Institute of Innovative Enterprises provides this web site (the “Site”) primarily in support of the mission of the Election Committee to spread information and knowledge about The Academy’s Fellowship Awards and also Golden Image Awards.
We encourage you to use the Site as an educational, informational and research tool, subject to the specific terms and conditions of use (“Terms and Conditions of Use”) set forth here.
Acceptance of terms and conditions
By accessing this web site, you accept without limitation or qualification these Terms and Conditions of Use. The Academy may revise these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time, which revisions shall be binding on you.
If you just want to visit the Site in order to read, educate yourself or play interactive games, please go ahead! These Terms and Conditions of Use are primarily applicable to persons with the intention of using the Site in another way than the activities mentioned or described in this document.

The names, titles, building images, trademarks, service marks and logos that appear on the Site are registered and unregistered marks of The Academy of Micromovie and Transmedia and The British Institute of Innovative Enterprises, including but not limited to The Academy’s Honorary Fellowship Awards®, The Academy’s logo® design mark, TheAcademy.london®, The Academy’s Coat of Arm®, The Academy’s Shield®, (collectively, the “The Academy’s trademarks”) The Golden Image Awards®. The Academy is most restrictive in permitting the use of these trademarks, and you may not use The Academy’s trademarks without prior written permission.
The trademarks of third parties may also appear on the Site from time to time; you may not use these trademarks without the prior written permission of their respective owners. You acknowledge and agree that nothing on the Site grants, expressly or implicitly, any right or license to use any of The Academy’s trademarks or may be construed to mean that The Academy has authority to grant any right or license on behalf of any third party trademark owner. The Academy assumes no responsibility for ascertaining whether such rights are valid or for securing such rights on your behalf. Beyond the credit lines that may be listed on the Site, The Academy does not provide addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information for third party rights holders.
Everything, including but not limited to the articles, texts, photographs, images, data, files, audio and video clips, illustrations, designs, educational games and documentation in whole or in part (the “Content”) which appears on the Site is either proprietary to The Academy or used in accordance with applicable law or third-party consents.
You may not reproduce, distribute, display, transmit, modify, perform, adapt, generate derivative works or otherwise use the Content without prior written permission – if not expressly stated elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions of Use.
The following listed copyright protected material: photos of the Laureates, other photos, the nominated applicants, the Nobel Lectures, speeches and biographies – of which The Academy is the proprietor – and The Academy’s Posters, of which a third party is a holder, are encompassed by special regulations.
Photos or images of The Academy’s Awards
Permission to use any image or photo of any Academy's’ awards is only granted if the image is going to be used as an illustration for an editorial text about The Academy, Our Honorary Life Chancellor or any Laureate.
An image of The Academy’s awards may, however, not be used on the cover of books, booklets or other printed matter, on posters, in exhibitions etc, nor for public or commercial purposes.
If permission is granted, “®© The Academy of Micromovie and Transmedia” must be indicated.
For uses of other photos, permission from The Academy, and in certain cases from the photographer, is required.
If permission is granted “© The Academy of Micromovie And Transmedia” and the photographer must be indicated.
The Academy’s Honorary life Chancellor & Diplomas
The artists and calligraphers of The Academy’s Honorary Life Chancellor and Diplomas have granted the rights to these materials.
If permission is granted “© The Academy of Micromovie and Transmedia” and the specific artist and/or calligrapher must be indicated.
Nominated Candidates, speeches and biographies
To use or translate a Nominated Candidates Lecture, a presentation speech, a banquet speech or a biography, permission must be granted by The Academy.
If permission is granted, “© The Academy of Micromovie and Transmedia” "British Institute of Innovative Enterprises " and relevant year must be stated, the text correctly quoted and the author identified as the sole author of the text.
All Lectures, presentation speeches, banquet speeches, and biographies are also published in the book series “The Academy’s Whos Who” or “The Academy of Micromovie and Transmedia”

The copyrights for The Academy’s Posters. Copyright for The Academy’s Posters and Honorary life Chancellor belongs to The Academy.
Permission from these bodies is required for use of The Academy’s Posters.

You may not reproduce, distribute, display, transmit, modify, perform, adapt, generate derivative works or otherwise use other parts of the Content without the prior, written permission of The Academy unless your use qualifies as:
Special permission for educators, or
Press releases all of which are further described below.
The Academy of Micromovie and Transmedia does not object to your reproduction, distribution, display, transmission, performance, and use of the Content if done in accordance with the Copyright law of the United Kingdom Copyright Act (1911 and copyright, designs and patents act 1988) or other applicable limitations and exemptions laid forth in the Hong Kong S.A.R (subsistence, ownership and duration of copyright) [Cf. 1988 c. 48 s. 1 UK]
Unless otherwise noted on the Site, The Academy requires not to express permission for use that falls within a legislative exemption, but two conditions apply:

Please be advised that The Academy is selective in granting such permission, and when The Academy does grant permission The Academy generally imposes a fee. All fees collected by The Academy are used to further The Academy’s educational programs and other non-profit missions.

Choice of law
These Terms and Conditions of Use and any counterparts, amendments or revisions thereto shall be governed and construed in accordance with the British Law or Hong Kong Basic Law without regard to principles of conflicts of laws. Any case, controversy, suit, action or proceeding arising out of, in connection with or related to this agreement shall be brought in the Court of Hong Kong S.A.R or Courts of England and Wales, and you hereby waive any objection that you may have to personal jurisdiction in this court.
Golden Image Awards, Seal Licensing Agreement
By completing the online order form, the person agrees with the following terms and conditions of using the Golden Image Awards.
1. The Academy of Micromovie and Transmedia (Licensor) grants the purchaser (Licensee) a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for the use of Golden Image Awards Seal (the Seal).
2. Use of the seal may not in any way imply endorsement of advertising claims.
3. The Licensor will provide specification and digital art in full colour to the licensee.
4. The sea cannot be translated into any other language. The English version should be used internationally.
5. The licensee cannot alter the appearance of the seal.
6. The licensee will response the applicable seal only from the digital artwork of the Licensor.
7. The Licensor will not approve the use of its seal on the following websites, online media and print media sexually oriented media, political media, controlled substances and unlawful media.
8. the licensor shall have no liability whatsoever for any coast, damages or losses increased in connection with any claims arising out of the use of the seal.
9. the licensor retains the rights to change such terms and conditions of use as is deemed necessary by the licensor. such changes will be posted on the licensor's website. it is the responsibility of the licensee to check the site for updates.
10. purchase of the license implies that the licensee has read and accepted these terms and conditions.
11. the Licensor will have the right to terminate this licensing agreement on giving License not less than 30 days written notice without compensation if the licensee breaches this licensing agreement.
